N3 sleep usually lasts about 30 minutes. The fourth and final phase is called REM sleep. REM stands for Rapid Eye Movement. In REM sleep, your body is relaxed and your breathing is slow. Your eyes move quickly from side to side. Your heart rate and blood pressure increase. You may have vivid dreams during REM sleep. REM sleep usually lasts about 60 minutes.<\/p>\n
