We all have different types of dreams. Some are good, some are bad, and some are just weird. But what exactly are wet dreams? And why do we have them?

Wet dreams are basically just like regular dreams, except that they involve sexual arousal and release. They’re most common in boys and young men, but girls and women can have them, too.

During a wet dream, you may feel a strong sexual desire and become erect. You may even have an orgasm. Wet dreams usually happen during REM (rapid eye movement) sleep, which is the deepest stage of sleep.

Most people have their first wet dream during puberty, but they can happen at any age. They’re usually not something to be worried about, but if you’re concerned, talk to your doctor.
