There are many theories as to why we can read in our dreams. Some believe that it is a representation of our subconscious mind trying to send us a message. Others believe that we are tapping into a higher level of consciousness when we dream and that we are able to access information that we normally would not have access to. Regardless of the reason, it is clear that dreaming is a powerful tool that can help us to understand ourselves and the world around us better.

The reason you can read in your dreams is because the part of your brain that controls reading is active during REM sleep. Dreams are produced during REM sleep, when the brain is more active and relaxed.

Is being able to read in dreams normal?

It’s a shame you can’t read in dreams, as it would be a great way to learn a new language or gain knowledge of things you’re interested in. However, it’s not entirely surprising that you can’t read in dreams. After all, the things we see in our dreams are just our own thoughts projected in our subconsciousness. So, while you may “see” a text in a dream, it’s unlikely for it to actually be written in a language you know or even to exist at all.

During lucid dreaming, your language processing areas of the brain are not fully awake, but they are much more active. That means that reading while you’re dreaming is actually possible. However, because your brain is not fully awake, your reading may not be as accurate as it would be if you were awake.
