We all dream every night, though most of us don’t remember our dreams. Dreams are a normal part of sleep. They’re a mix of images, feelings, and memories. Dreams can be vivid or vague. They can be scary, happy, or strange.

We do not have dreams every night, however we may have dreams several times a week. Dreams typically occur during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep.

Is it possible to sleep without dreaming?

There are a few reasons why you might not be dreaming, or at least not remembering your dreams. It could be that you’re not sleeping well, which means you’re not getting enough REM sleep. Or it could be that you have a hard time recall dreams because you don’t have a good “dream recall” mechanism.

Not dreaming can have an impact on your health, as dreams are thought to be a way for your brain to process information and emotions. Dreams also help to improve creative thinking and problem solving skills.
